Atul’s Curries of the World was squarely aimed at the home cook, and included more than 100 recipes from cuisines from all around the world, from Atul’s native India, but also from Asia, Africa, the Americas and Europe. Mike Cooper photographed, over five frenetic studio days in south-west London. With many recipes and photographs to squeeze into one book, a two-column, two-recipes-per-page format for the book, colour-coded by country worked well. In 2014, the book won a World Gourmand Cookbook award in the UK division.
